Letoon Antik Tiyatrosu

Letoon is located between Kas and Fethiye, about 4 km south of Xanthos and was another important religious centre of the Lycian region. Letton was dedicated to the three national deities of Lycia – Leto, Apollo and Artemis. During archeological studies leftovers of churches have been found belonging to the early Christian era.

Tlos

Tlos

Tlos, near Antalya, has been one of the most important religious centers of the Lycian region. According to the myth, the hero Bellerophon and his winged flying horse Pegasus used to live there. Tlos dates back to the time before 2000 B.C. The graveyard, located on the natural rocks of the city acropolis, was filled with most elaborate house-type tombs of Lycia. The king-type tomb in the necropolis is dedicated to Bellerophon.

Kayakoy

Kayakoy consists of Greek-style houses and churches which cover a small mountainside and serve as a stopping place for tourists. It was built in the 1700s. After the population Exchange agreement was signed in 1923 most Greek Christians left Kayakoy, also known as Levissi.

Telmessos Antik Tiyatrosu

Telmessos Ancient Theater

Telmessos was the largest city in Lycia. The typical roman type theatre was built in the 2nd century and had a capacity of 5.000 people. Under the authority of the Fethiye Museum Management Chairmanship the site was excavated in 1993. A restoration project was set in place to renovate the theatre. The Fethiye Archaeology museum displays numerous archeological findings from the Lycian, Hellenistic, Roman and Ottoman era as well as ethnological art typical for this region.

Xanthos Ancient Theater

Xanthos is situated in the hills above the Esen Ovasi, southeast of Fethiye. It is the site of more than 900 rock tombs and monolithic house tombs. Pinara is known as the first place in which beauty contests have been held. It gained importance due to a sanctuary that was built and devoted to the goddess Aphrodite.

Katranci Bay

Katranci bay is located 17 km away from Fethiye on the way to Gocek. The bay is covered with pine trees, whose dark green colours reflect in the clear blue sea. The beautiful beach invites to sunbathe, swim and relax. The facilities are equipped with toilets, showers, cabins, a canteen and car park. It is also an ideal place for camping.

Iztuzu Beach

İztuzu Beach is a 4.5 km long beach near Dalyan, in the Ortaca district of the Province of Muğla in southwestern Turkey. The beach is a narrow spit of land, which forms a natural barrier between the fresh water delta of the Dalyan river and the Mediterranean. It is one of the main breeding grounds for loggerhead sea turtles (Caretta caretta) in the Mediterranean and is therefore often referred to as "Turtle Beach". For this reason the beach has had a protected status since 1988 and is part of the Köyceğiz-Dalyan Special Environmental Protection Area.

Sarigerme Beach

Sarigerme Beach

Sarigerme is a beach near Osmaniye Village in Ortaca district, Muğla Province, south-west Turkey. It is a holiday destination with a beach and shops. Sarigerme is approximately 12 km from the airport town of Dalaman with a good road access after being resurfaced several years ago. The main beach is the province of the belediyesi and a small entrance fee is levied at the access gate. This beach is pristine sand and popular with Turkish and foreign tourists alike. There is a cafeteria situated onsite providing the usual fare, soft drinks, tea and ice creams and also beers. The beach is long and sandy and there is usually quite a strong prevailing NW wind.

Butterfly Valley

Butterfly Valley

The valley is situated at the foothill of Babadag, a 1.975 meter-high mountain nominated for preservation as world heritage. A wide-strip sand beach at a bay on the Turkish Riviera protrudes from the valley. In the form of a narrow canyon stretching over around 3–4 km (1.9–2.5 mi), the valley's steep walls are 350–400 m (1,150–1,310 ft) high. A trail in the valley leads to two small waterfalls dropping from 60 m (200 ft) all the year around. In the middle of the valley, a creek runs, carrying water from a spring in nearby Faralya village to the sea. A road from Ölüdeniz to Uzunyurt, which is part of the Lycian Way Ultramarathon route, runs atop the rocks around the valley.

Saklikent

Saklikent Canyon

Saklikent is 50 km away from Fethiye, next to Karacay, the border between Antalya and Mugla. Saklikent, a natural beauty hidden in the mountains, is 18 km long and its height reaches up to 600 m. Saklikent is a favorite picnic spot with rustic restaurants serving fresh trout and offering a cool refuge on hot summer days.

Oludeniz

Oludeniz

Oludeniz has been evaluated as “a haven gifted by God”. Its beach is 3 km long. The colour combinations of different shades of blue and green make swimming and snorkeling most enjoyable. The water of the Dead Sea is warm and calm for 10 months and is therefore one of the most popular tourist places. Oludeniz is 24 km away from Fethiye and separates Belcekiz beach from Kumburnu. Most guest houses, camping places, motels and restaurants are open all year round.
