Boat maintenance prices: not a fixed list, but a transparent account
The honest answer to 'how much is boat maintenance?' isn't a single figure - it varies with the boat, the job and the scope. But how the price is built is clear from the start, and we explain it on this page. Our principle is simple: every quote is itemised, our coordination fee appears on a separate line, there is no hidden margin inside the supply or specialist price, and the final cost cannot exceed the approved amount. We don't quote without seeing the boat on site; but we never hide the logic of the price.

Scope
Labour
By the hour, according to the scope of the job; a separate line in the quote
Parts & materials
With brand/model and price; the invoice is in your evidence file
Yard / crane
The facility's own fee, a separate line in the quote - no margin added on top
Coordination / management fee
Single and open; not hidden inside the craftsman/supply price
Travel
Separate and stated up front where needed
Membership package (Monitoring/Management)
A fixed monthly/seasonal fee; works are quoted separately
How it works
Free introductory check
We don't quote without seeing the boat on site; the introductory check is free.
Itemised quote
Labour, parts, yard and coordination as separate lines; an economy/recommended/premium option where useful.
Approval & fixed frame
The amount you approve is the ceiling; the final cost cannot exceed it, and if the job comes in cheaper the difference is refunded.

Transparent close-out: approved 740 € - actual 698 €
A charger unit replacement was approved at 740 €; the job came in at 698 € and 42 € was refunded. The coordination fee was a separate line in the quote, with no hidden margin inside the craftsman's price.
FAQ
Why is there no fixed price list?+
Because it wouldn't be honest: the same 'paint' job is entirely different on an 8 m sailing yacht and a 15 m motor yacht; the surface condition, number of coats and haul-out cost all change. A list price comes out either too high or full of surprises. We measure on site and quote itemised.
What is the management/coordination fee, and how much?+
This is Care's income and it appears openly on a separate line in the quote - it is not hidden inside the craftsman or supply price. The amount firms up with the scope; on a membership package it is a fixed monthly/seasonal figure.
Do you take a commission from the craftsman?+
No. If an outside specialist or authorised service is brought in, the cost is passed on one-to-one with its invoice; there is no hidden margin added on top. Our only earning is the openly shown management fee.
Does the price go up after the quote?+
The amount you approve is the ceiling - the final cost cannot exceed the approved amount. If a need outside the scope arises, the work stops and your fresh approval is requested; anything beyond that without approval is on us.
Can I compare prices?+
Yes, we encourage it: compare our itemised quote with others. Our price memory from hundreds of jobs works for you too - we can tell the extortionate apart from the cheap-looking but below-standard.
