Boat repair: from diagnosis to documented handover

A fault is found by measurement, not by guesswork. The Care team diagnoses the problem on site, gives you an itemised written quote, and never closes a job without passing independent quality control. The final cost cannot exceed the approved amount; every step is logged to your panel with photo evidence.

Diagnosis guide

From symptom to likely source

A symptom alone isn't a diagnosis; the source is found by on-site measurement. This table only helps you gauge urgency.

SymptomLikely sourceUrgency
Cranks but won't startFuel/air, filter, starter systemMedium
Overheating / alarmImpeller, raw-water path, thermostatHigh - stop the engine
Unexpected water in the bilgeSeacock, shaft seal, hoseHigh
No power / cutting outBattery, main switch, leakMedium
Power loss or coloured smokeFuel system, injector, exhaustHigh
In an emergency (taking on water, overheating) safety first: stop the engine, then call.
Electrical measurement in the engine bay with a multimeter, alternator and cable terminals
A fault is found by measurement, not guesswork: diagnosis starts with checks made before any part is replaced.

FAQ

How is the repair price determined?+

After diagnosis, labour hours, part cost (with brand and serial number) and any crane/haul-out cost are written as separate line items. Our coordination fee is single and shown openly in the quote; there is no hidden margin inside the craftsman's price.

Do you supply the parts?+

Yes - from our supplier network, original and invoiced. The brand and serial number are written in the quote; the removed part is photographed and handed to you on request.

Do I need to be at the boat?+

No. The diagnosis report, quote and every work step drop into your panel with photos; you approve from your phone. Keys are held in our office with a signed custody record.

How fast do you arrive in an emergency?+

We're at your boat the same day around Göcek. Within the emergency-protection limit you set in advance, intervention starts immediately and is reported afterwards with evidence.

Will you take over a job another craftsman left unfinished?+

Yes; first we document the current state with a photo report - so responsibility is clear and you don't pay twice.
