Authorised service coordination: the warranty kept intact, from a single point of contact

On an in-warranty engine, work done at the wrong service can void the warranty; but you don't want to chase the appointment, attendance and paperwork of an authorised service for every routine job either. Care separates the two: for warranty work we coordinate the authorised service (appointment, attendance, record - the warranty stays intact); routine work outside the warranty is done by our own specialist team, to our evidence standard. You see clearly in the quote which is which.

Authorised service coordination: the warranty kept intact, from a single point of contact

Cummins / MAN

How it works

01

Cover assessment

Whether the job falls under the warranty or is routine work outside cover is established - stated clearly in the quote.

02

Service coordination

For warranty work the authorised-service appointment, attendance and record are ours; outside cover, our own team.

03

Documented handover

The make/serial number of the parts used and the test readings are logged to your file with the hour record.

Work that needs an authorised service is separated from work that doesn't: warranty cover decides where the job goes.

Example: the right address for an in-warranty engine

On a Volvo Penta still under warranty, the servicing was directed to the authorised service (the warranty was kept intact); the anode and shaft-seal work outside cover on the same haul-out was done by our own team - one haul-out, one point of coordination. (The real case will be added at launch.)

FAQ

On my in-warranty engine, who does the work - you or the authorised service?+

Warranty work is done by the authorised service and we coordinate it (appointment, attendance, record) - the warranty isn't voided. Routine work outside cover is done by our own team to our evidence standard; you see clearly in the quote which is which.

Do I have to take it to the authorised service?+

Only for warranty work is it essential; once the warranty has ended, or for routine work outside cover, the choice is yours. Most scheduled servicing (oil, filter, impeller) falls outside cover and is done faster by our own team, to the same quality standard.

What if there's no brand service in Göcek?+

If there's no authorised point in the area, the process still runs through us: the appointment with the nearest authorised service, the boat or part logistics and the record coordination are ours - you deal with a single point of contact.

Do you use original parts?+

Yes; the brand and serial number are stated in the quote, and the invoice is added to your evidence file. Where there's a sensible aftermarket equivalent, it's offered as an alternative - the decision is yours.

How will I know when servicing is due?+

Your engine/generator hours are logged in your panel; as servicing approaches by the manufacturer's criteria the system reminds you - the burden of tracking isn't on you.
